In all these games, he was able to get 5 innings, 18 overs, and 183 runs. Before T20 started, Pandya has also expressed his determination for India to also win the tournament this year. In one of his interviews, he said that wants to level up his fielding this season.
“God has been kind, my fitness has gone up. So, I can spend a lot of time on my fielding as well. Yes, I was natural, but I wanted to be exceptional at fielding. I can spend some time with our fielding coach and take the more difficult catches.”
“He (the fielding coach) said, ‘Hardik, I knew you used to dive around and stop the ball two meters from here as well. My goal this year is to come and grab a catch which could be one of the best catches of my career,” Pandya said.
Babar Azam (Pakistan)
Pakistan’s Babar Azam is the team’s captain and he’s also regarded as one of the finest batsmen in the cricket industry. He’s a record holder too since he is the only batsman to be in the top 3 rankings across all cricket formats.
Azam has also led Central Punjab in domestic cricket and the Karachi Kings during the PSL. As the captain of these teams, he was able to win 34 times, so he’s one of the most successful T20I captains.
Overall, Azam has played 6 T20 World Cup matches with 6 innings, 303 runs, and a batting average of 60.60.
Before the World Cup started, Azam celebrated his birthday and spoke to the media about their upcoming participation in the tournament.

Mitchell Starc (Australia)

Glenn Maxwell (Australia)
Glenn Maxwell is the second Australian cricketer on our list who might get Player of the Tournament. Australia is one of the favorites to win this season and, typically, many would think an Aussie would also bag this award.
Maxwell has already played 20 World Cup matches with 17 innings, 294 runs, and a batting average of 49.00. The right-handed batsman is still one of the team’s key players, so he might as well be one of the big reasons why Australia could once again be the champions this year.
