The Menβs Selection Committee on Monday announced the India A team for the Australia tour. The captaincy of the 15-member Indian team has been handed over to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Ishan Kishan has also been given a place in the team. The team will play two first-class matches against Australia A in Mackay and Melbourne. After this, the team will also play a three-day intra-squad game against the senior Indian team in Perth.
Ishan Kishan recently proved himself by playing some good innings. He scored a century in the Buchi Babu Tournament, Duleep Trophy, and Ranji Trophy. Recently he scored 101 runs against Railways. He is waiting for a comeback in the Indian team. Ishan was dropped from BCCIβs central contract.
Match Schedule and Border-Gavaskar Trophy Preparation
Talking about the schedule of Indiaβs Australia tour, the first first-class match will be played from October 31 to November 3. After this, the second first-class match will be played in Melbourne from November 7 to November 10.
After the first-class match, Indiaβs A team will clash with Indiaβs senior team. This match will be held in Perth between November 15 and 17. The Indian team will go to Australia at the end of this month for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. During this, a series of 5 Test matches will be played between India and Australia. To prepare for the series, the Indian senior team will face India A.
