The only Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand was to start from September 9, but due to continuous rain, this match could not start yet. The game was canceled for the fourth consecutive day due to rain.

The toss between the two teams was to be held at 9 am at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, but due to heavy rain, the game had to be canceled on the fourth day as well. The Afghanistan Cricket Board said in a statement that after inspecting the stadium, a decision will be taken about starting the game at 8 am on Friday.

Wet Outfield Delays Start of the Match

The toss of the only Test between Afghanistan and New Zealand has not been done for the last four days. Not a single ball was bowled in this match. The match was canceled due to a wet outfield on the first two days. Due to wet outfield, questions are being raised on the pitch of this ground for hosting international matches. The match has not been officially canceled. A decision will be taken after taking stock tomorrow i.e. on September 13.

If the match is not held on 13 September due to rain or a wet outfield, then it will be officially canceled. History will be repeated after 26 years. Let us tell you that this will be the eighth such Test match in which not a single ball was bowled. New Zealand will be a part of such a test for the second time.
