Afghanistan to Face South Africa in Historic ODI Series
A three-match ODI series between Afghanistan and South Africa will be held. The first ODI between the two countries will be played on September 18, the second ODI on September 20, and the third ODI on September 22. The series will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Ground in UAE. So far two ODIs have been played between the two countries and South Africa has won both the matches. But this is the first time that an ODI series is being held between these two countries.
Due to this, interest has increased among sports lovers. Afghanistan has announced a 16-member squad for this series. The leadership of this team has been given to Hashmatullah Shahidi and Rashid Khan has made a comeback in the team. Rashid Khan has already announced that he will not play Test cricket for a year.

Afghanistan Announces Squad, Key Players Miss Out
Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran has missed the series due to injury. Spinner Mujeeb ur Rehman is also not playing in the tournament as he is injured. On the other hand, batsman Abdul Malik, who has performed well in domestic cricket, has got a place in the team. He has been replaced by Jadran in the team. Darwish Rasooli, who has played 7 T20 international matches, has got a place in the team.

Afghanistan Aiming for Victory Against Strong South Africa
Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Naseeb Khan said, ‘In our cricket history, we are getting an opportunity to host South Africa. It’s a good team. We are looking forward to playing the ODI series with them. Our team has performed well in ICC tournaments in the last two to three years. So we intend to do the same in the bilateral series as well. Afghanistan defeated Ireland 2-0 in the previous ODI series.
