Afghanistan Creates History with 2-0 Series Win Over South Africa
Afghanistan has continued the tradition of shocking the cricket world for the past few days. In the 2023 World Cup, Afghanistan had shown that they are no match after defeating Pakistan and England. His century laid a solid foundation, with valuable contributions from Azmatullah Omarzai (86) and Rahmat Shah (50). The South African team struggled to chase the target, being bowled out for just 134 runs. Rashid Khan led the bowling attack with five wickets, earning him the man-of-the-match award, while Nangeyalia Kharote chipped in with four wickets
This series marked Afghanistanโs first-ever ODI series win over South Africa. They secured the series by winning the first two matches, making the third match on September 22 just a formality. Afghanistan’s bowlers outclassed South Africa in both games, showing their growing strength in world cricket.
