South Africa Announces Squad for Series Against Afghanistan and Ireland

South Africa has revealed its cricket squads for the upcoming matches against Afghanistan and Ireland. The team will first play a 3-match ODI series against Afghanistan, starting on September 18 in Sharjah. Following this, South African team will head to Abu Dhabi for a 3-match T20 and 3-match ODI series against Ireland, starting from September 27.

Key Players and New Faces in the Squad

Fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has returned to the squad after recovering from an injury. Ngidi will play in all three series. New players like Jason Smith, Nkaba Peter, and Andile Simelane have been given their first chances in South Africa’s ODI team. Both Smith and Peter made their T20 debuts earlier this year and now join the team for the ODIs against Afghanistan and Ireland.
