Afghanistan’s Rising Journey in Cricket
The Afghanistan team has made remarkable achievements in the last few years and forced the cricket world to take notice of them. Afghanistan made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 held a few months ago. Also, Afghanistan has qualified for the Champions Trophy for the first time. Afghanistan will now play an ODI series against Bangladesh in UAE in a few days. This series is going to be a total of 3 matches. The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced a 19-member squad for this series. Among these 19 players, 2 new faces have been given a chance. These two include Sediqullah Atal and Noor Adam.

Afghanistan’s Squad Announcement
Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead Afghanistan in this series. Rahmat Shah will have the responsibility of vice-captain. Also Ibrahim Zadran and Mujeeb ur Rehman are not included. Both Ibrahim and Mujeeb have to miss this series due to injury.
Sediqullah Atal has been given a chance to replace Ibrahim Zadran in the Afghanistan team. Noor Ahmad has been given a chance to replace Mujeeb ur Rehman. Sediqullah Atal scored 52, 93 not out and 85 in the Emerging Asia Cup.
Experienced Players Lead the Team
The team also includes a pair of experienced all-rounders and former captains, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. Also included are Azmatullah Omarzai and Fazal Haq Farooqui. The opening match of the series between the two teams will be held on November 6. The second match will be played on November 9 and the third and final match will be played on November 11. All the three matches are being held in Sharjah.
