Indian Women’s Team Clinches Series with Dominant Win
Opener Shafali Verma’s powerful double century, Smriti Mandhana’s century, and Sneh Rana’s superb bowling helped the Indian women’s team win by 10 wickets against South Africa. Along with this victory, India won the only Test match series. After a 3-0 clean sweep in the ODI series, the Indian women’s team ‘cleaned’ Africa by winning the Test series as well.

Stellar Performances Lead to Victory
Batting first, the Indian team declared the innings at 603 for 6. After that, Africa’s first innings ended on 266 runs and the second innings ended on 373 runs. Therefore, India faced a challenge of only 37 runs in the last innings. This challenge was overcome by the Indian women’s team on the fourth day itself and gave the team a big win.
Shafali Verma’s 205 runs and Smriti Mandhana’s 149 runs helped India reach 603 runs in the first innings. While chasing this challenge, India’s Sneh Rana bowled amazingly. She took 8 wickets with 77 runs. Marizen Kaap scored 74 and Sune Luz scored 65 for Africa.

Comprehensive Win on the Fourth Day:
In the second innings, skipper Laura Woolford scored 122 runs while Suene Luz scored 109 runs in the follow-on game. So Africa scored 373 runs in the second innings. But their two-innings total was only 37 runs more than India’s. So the openers completed this challenge for India in 9.2 overs.
The Indian women’s team’s performance was marked by exceptional batting and bowling, showcasing their dominance and skill in the series against South Africa.
