The Asia Cup was started in 1984 to promote cricket competition among Asian countries. The tournament is organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and is played in ODI and T20 format.
Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan have been the most successful countries in this tournament, having won the title several times. Asia Cup 2025 is commencing from 9 September, in which the top cricket teams of Asia are participating. Many legendary batsmen have performed brilliantly in Asia Cup history. The highest run-scorers have been players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara. Among these, Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya and India’s Virat Kohli are considered among the most successful batsmen of the Asia Cup.
