A Brand New Domestic T20 Women’s Competition: Spring Challenge 2024 Kicks Off Friday

The Australian Women’s Spring T20, a new women’s domestic T20 tournament organized by Cricket Australia, will be played from Friday, October 11, to Sunday, October 20. The inaugural edition will be played across two venues — Adelaide and Sydney—over ten days.

This tournament was introduced to fill the gap in domestic women’s cricket following the shortening of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).

It will feature nine teams, including the eight WBBL teams such as Sydney Thunder Women, Brisbane Heat Women, Melbourne Renegades Women, and more, along with the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Women.

Each team will play four matches, and the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals and finals on October 19 and October 20. The opening match on October 11 will feature Sydney Thunder Women and Brisbane Heat Women.

Telecast and Streaming in India:

Unfortunately, the Australian Women Spring T20 2024 will not be live-telecasted on TV in India. However, Indian fans can catch all the action via live streaming on cricket.com.au.

All the games of the T20 Spring Challenge 2024 will be live-streamed on Kayo, cricket.com.au, and the CA Live app

The opening day will see four matches taking place:

• Sydney Thunder Women vs Brisbane Heat Women at North Sydney Oval
• Sydney Sixers Women vs ACT Meteors at North Sydney Oval
• Melbourne Renegades Women vs Hobart Hurricanes at Karen Rolton Oval
• Adelaide Strikers Women vs Perth Scorchers Women at Karen Rolton Ova

The semi-finals will be played on October 19, with the final scheduled for October 20.
