Babar Azam Record: It has been almost six months since Rohit Sharma retired from T20Is but he still holds the record for scoring the most runs in this format. At the same time, Virat Kohli has now slipped from second to third position in this special list.

Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam overtook Virat Kohli in the third and final T20 International match of the series against Australia.

Babar Azam Surpasses Kohli in T20I Run List

In the third T20, Babar played a quick innings of 41 runs off 28 balls and during this innings, he went ahead of Virat Kohli. Seeing the rhythm in which Babar was batting, it seemed that he would break Rohit’s record today too, but it did not happen and he is still 39 runs behind Rohit.

If we talk about the most runs in T20 International, then Rohit Sharma has scored 4231 runs in 159 matches, Babar now has 4192 runs in his account, while Virat Kohli has 4188 runs in his account. Babar Azam has so far scored 3 centuries and 36 half-centuries in T20 International in this format. Since Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have now retired from T20 International their runs will not increase.
