Babar scored 320 runs in 9 World Cup matches with 4 fifties. He stated, “I received a call from PCB in 2019, and I vividly remember that day.
I’ve experienced numerous ups and downs over the past four years, but I’ve consistently aimed to prioritize the team’s and the country’s interests.
The No. 1 position in ODI cricket is a culmination of the collective effort from all teammates and managers. I extend my gratitude to Pakistani cricket fans for their steadfast support.”
“Today, I am resigning from the position of captain of the Pakistan cricket team in all formats. It was a difficult decision, but I believe it is the right time.
As a player, I will continue to represent the country in all three formats. The new captain will have my complete support, and I intend to leverage my experience for the team’s benefit.
I express my gratitude to the Pakistan Cricket Board.”
