Babar’s fans are very sad with this decision. Earlier also Babar Azam had left the captaincy, but he was again given this responsibility.
Babar Azam wrote on X, Dear Fans, “I am sharing some news with you today. I have decided to resign from the post of captain of the Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team, effective from my notification given to the PCB and team management last month. It has been an honor to lead this team, but now the time has come for me to step down and focus on my role.” I will focus on the game
He wrote, “Captaincy has been a great experience, but it has also added a significant workload. I want to prioritize my performance, enjoy my batting, and spend time with my family, which makes me happy. By stepping down I will gain clarity moving forward and focus more energy on my game and personal development.”
“I am grateful for your unwavering support and belief in me. Your enthusiasm means a lot to me. I am proud of what we have achieved together and excited to continue contributing to the team as a player. Thank you for your love and support.”
Babar Azam left the captaincy after a poor performance in the ODI World Cup. After this, Shan Masood was given the command of Test, and Shaheen Shah Afridi was given the command of T20.
