England’s bowlers made a brilliant defense of 118 to keep Bangladesh within 100 runs. England challenged Bangladesh to 119 runs for victory. But Bangladesh could score only 97 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. With this win, England jumped straight to the top of the points table in Group B. Sobhana Mostari scored the most runs for Bangladesh. Sobhana scored 44 runs off 48 balls with 1 six and 1 four. Nigar Sultana contributed 15 runs. Apart from that, not a single one could reach double figures. Bangladesh’s batsmen were ineffective against England’s penetrating attack.
