He has met an expert in Mumbai regarding the injury. Due to the injury, he has been given proper instructions so he will not be available for the first Test against Bangladesh. However, no information has been given by the BCCI regarding his presence in the second Test match it has been said that the medical team of the BCCI will decide later.
In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul will lead the Indian team. Cheteshwar Pujara has been made the vice-captain of the Indian team. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have been ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh. Both players have not been able to recover from their injuries.
Fast bowler Navdeep Saini has got a place as a replacement for Mohammed Shami. Saurav Kumar has been included in the team in place of Ravindra Jadeja.
