BCCI Announces Squads for Duleep Trophy 2024-25

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced four squads for the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25. The names of the Indian team’s star players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravichandran Ashwin were missing in it.

The Duleep Trophy will mark the start of red-ball cricket in the domestic season. On this platform, youth and emerging talents will get a chance to compete against players playing international cricket. The Duleep Trophy will start on 5 September 2024.

Emerging Talents Get a Platform

India’s ODI and T20 International vice-captain Shubman Gill and many other Indian players like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja and Suryakumar Yadav will be seen playing in the tournament. BCCI has informed in its release that the players selected for the Test series against Bangladesh will be replaced in the Duleep Trophy.
