ODI Squad for England Series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may delay the announcement of the ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against England.
Although it was initially expected that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee would announce the provisional squad for the Champions Trophy by January 12, following the guidelines of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
BCCI May Delay ODI Squad Announcement for England Series
But now the news is coming that BCCI can now request the ICC to extend this deadline. However, the T20 team for the upcoming 5-match series against England can be announced in the next few days.
According to a Cricbuzz report, the BCCI may ask for time citing recent commitments in Australia for the Test series. It is expected that the BCCI squad for the ICC Champions Trophy and the three-match ODI series against England may be announced around January 18-19 with a delay of a week. The Champions Trophy will start in Pakistan-UAE on February 19.

T20 Squad to Be Announced Soon for England Matches
The T20 squad against England can be announced in the next few days. It is expected that there will be no surprising changes in the team against England. It will include players who played against Bangladesh in October, there is no possibility of including players like Jaspreet Bumrah or Mohammad Siraj. Both of them can be rested in this series.
India Prepares for England Tour and Champions Trophy
Let us tell you, England’s tour of India is to start from January 22. The English team is coming to India to play a 3-match ODI series apart from a 5-match T20 series. Now it remains to be seen when the Indian Board can announce the squad for this series.
