BPL Fixing: The ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has been hit by fixing which has shaken the Bangladesh Cricket Board. The BCB has decided to take strict action in this matter and has decided to form an independent committee.
BPL Faces Match-Fixing Scandal
The BCB has said that it will form an independent committee that will work in collaboration with their Anti Corruption Unit which is currently investigating the fixing case in the BPL. Many big stars of the world are also playing in the BPL.
There are reports of fixing in the current season of BPL. It has been told in many media reports that the ACU of BCB has taken eight matches under suspicion. ACU suspects match-fixing and spot-fixing in these eight matches. According to the Cricbuzz report, 10 players are under the ACUโs radar while four franchises are also under the ACUโs radar.

Suspected Matches and Players
Out of the 10 players who are under suspicion, six have played for Bangladeshโs national team. Two are Bangladeshโs uncapped players while two are foreign cricketers. Among the franchises under scrutiny, Darbar Rajshahi and Dhaka Capitals are under suspicion more. The committee also suspects Sylhet Strikers and Chittagong Kings.

Following reports of match-fixing and spot-fixing, BCB president Farooq Ahmed told Cricbuzz that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty. After the formation of the Anti-Corruption Unit, the BCB has said that it is committed to maintaining the integrity of the league.
