Brian Lara on Bumrah: Jasprit Bumrah’s magic was seen on the first day of the first Test being played between India and Australia in Perth.
After the flop show of the batsmen, Bumrah wreaked havoc with the ball, due to which India sent seven Australian batsmen to the pavilion till stumps on the first day.
Jasprit Bumrah Shines on Day 1 of the First Test
Team India, who won the toss and came out to bat first, got all-out for just 150 runs in the first innings in conditions favourable to fast bowlers.
It seemed that Team India was lagging far behind Australia in the first two sessions, but by the end of the day, Indian bowlers retaliated by taking 7 wickets and India won the first day’s match.
Till stumps on the first day, Australia has lost 7 wickets for a score of just 67 and it is still 83 runs behind the Indian team. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets for 17 runs in 10 overs, Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 9 overs, while Harshit Rana got a success.

The Australian batsmen were not able to play Bumrah’s balls today. At the same time, Brian Lara also became a fan of Jasprit Bumrah’s deadly bowling.
The former West Indies legend shared a video of the wickets taken by Jasprit Bumrah and wrote, “How can you beat Test cricket, what a bowler.”
