Uddhav Sena Demands Cancellation of India-Pakistan Cricket Matches
In response to recent terrorist attacks, Uddhav Sena has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding the cancellation of all cricket matches between India and Pakistan. The letter, authored by Uddhav Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey, emphasizes the need to take a stand against the ongoing violence in India, specifically citing a recent attack on a bus of devotees in Jammu and Kashmir.

Protests Following Terrorist Attacks
The call for cancellation comes in the wake of several violent incidents. Two days ago, a CRPF jawan was martyred, and six security personnel were injured during an encounter with terrorists in the Kathua and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, last Sunday, terrorists attacked a bus carrying pilgrims in Uttar Pradesh’s Reasi district, resulting in the deaths of 9 people and injuries to 33 others. These attacks have heightened tensions and prompted Uddhav Sena to demand the cessation of sports engagements with Pakistan.
Appeal to the Prime Minister and Key Officials
Dubey’s letter has been sent not only to the Prime Minister but also to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Union Sports Ministry, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The letter states that in light of the recent violence and ongoing security threats, cricket matches with Pakistan should be canceled as a form of protest and solidarity with the victims of these attacks.

Impact on the T20 World Cup
India recently defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on June 9. However, Uddhav Sena insists that if the two teams are scheduled to meet again in the next stage of the competition, that match should be canceled. This demand is rooted in the belief that continuing to play against Pakistan under current circumstances undermines the gravity of the recent terrorist attacks and the suffering of the victims. The Uddhav Sena’s stance reflects a broader call for national unity and a firm response to acts of terrorism.
