Under the leadership of Captain KL Rahul, Team India has created history with this series win. KL Rahul became only the second captain to win the ODI series in South Africa for Team India.
This feat was done by Virat Kohli before KL. Virat Kohli led Team India to defeat South Africa at home by a margin of 5-1 in the ODI series.
Team India won this series in 2018. After that, now in 2023, after 5 years, Team India has performed to win the series.
South Africa had thrashed Team India in the ODI series in 2022 with a margin of 0-3. Even then KL Rahul was the captain. Team India could not win a single match then.
But this year Team India has won the series by defeating 2-1. Meanwhile, after the T20 and ODI series, both the teams will play a 2-match Test series. The series will start from December 26.
