Chad Bowes broke the record of Australian and Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head. Travis had earlier scored the fastest double century in 114 balls while playing for South Australia in List A. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Tamil Nadu opener Narayan Jagadeesan also scored 200 runs off 114 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match in 2022.

Chad Bowes scored 205 runs off 110 balls in the match, which included 27 fours and 7 sixes. With the help of his double century, the team managed to score a big score. Apart from Chad, Zachary Faulks played an innings of 49 runs in the match. Canterbury’s team thus scored 343 runs in the stipulated 50 overs.
