Ravi Shastri: India Must Keep Scoring, Not Just Block
Speaking on Sky Sports, former England captain Michael Atherton praised Ben Stokes’ captaincy and said:
“England take two quick wickets, and Stokes takes Bashir out of the attack. He’s done his job, played the holding role and had success, but now England feels an opportunity that… “Why is Kars back?”
Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri has praised the Indian team despite losing quick wickets. He advised keeping the runs going. He said:
“This is the time to make money. The ball is soft, and in good batting conditions, the bowlers will start to tire. There are still 15 overs until the new ball comes. At this stage, it is important not only to block but also to keep an eye out for runs.”
“England will be happy that they took five wickets in good batting conditions. They did not let India run away, and they have been disciplined. Bashir also played a role in keeping things under control.
