Shubman Gill scored the highest 42 runs for the Gujarat Titans. Rashid Khan provided some strength to the team by playing an innings of 30 runs off 16 balls, including three fours and two sixes in the last over, but it proved to be insufficient for the team.
For Chennai, Ravindra Jadeja, Mahish Theekshana, Deepak Chahar, and Mathish Pathirana took two wickets each, while Tushar Deshpande took one wicket. Rituraj shared a 64-ball 87-run partnership for the first wicket with Devon Conway, hitting seven fours and a six. However, Conway did not look comfortable during his 34-ball 40.

Devon Conway and Rituraj got the team off to a good start but failed to play substantial innings. Ravindra Jadeja played an innings of 22 runs off 16 balls in the last over. Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took two wickets each, while Darshan Nalkande, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmed took one wicket each. Shubman Gill, who performed brilliantly, hit a six off Chahar bowling in the third over. However, Wriddhiman Saha lost his wicket to Chahar after hitting a four.
Mahish Theekshana, who came on to bowl in the sixth over, dismissed Hardik Pandya (eight runs) by trapping him with his spin.
