Mumbai batted first after losing the toss. Cameron Green came to bat with Ishan Kishan instead of Rohit Sharma. Mumbai received a shock in the second over as Green got out. Later, Rohit Sharma joined Ishan at the crease, but Mumbai lost another wicket in the third over when Ishan got out after scoring seven runs. Fans were more angry with Ishan’s decision to waste a review than his dismissal. On the second ball of the third over, Ishan took a review of a no ball, but it was a bad decision, which cost Mumbai their first review. Fans criticised him fiercely on social media for this.

This was the second consecutive match in which Rohit got out without scoring a run. Fans started trolling him on social media for this.
