DC-W vs UP-W: The 8th match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League was played today 22 February, Saturday between the women’s teams of Delhi Capitals and UP Warriors. Let us tell you that in this match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, UP defeated Delhi by 33 runs.


Grace Harris Takes Hat-Trick as UP Warriors Win

Batting first, UP Warriors had set a target of 178 runs for Delhi to win, chasing which Delhi was all out for 144 runs in 19.3 overs. In the last over of the innings for UP, Grace Harris completed her first and third hat-trick of the tournament by dismissing Nikki Prasad, Arundhati Reddy and Meenu Mani.

After winning the toss, Delhi Capitals chose to bowl first. UP Warriors posted 177/9 in 20 overs. The highlight of the innings was Chinelle Henry’s explosive knock of 62 runs in just 23 balls, hitting 8 sixes and 2 fours. Tahlia McGrath (24) and KP Navgire (17) also contributed. For Delhi, Jess Jonassen bowled brilliantly, taking 4 wickets for 31 runs, while Marizanne Kapp and Arundhati Reddy took 2 wickets each.

UP Warriors’ Bowlers Dominate as Delhi Falls Short

Chasing 178, Delhi Capitals struggled and were bowled out for 144 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues was the only standout batter, scoring 56 runs, but no other player made a big impact. UP Warriors’ bowlers performed exceptionally well, with Kranti Gaur and Grace Harris taking 4 wickets each. Chinelle Henry and Deepti Sharma also chipped in with one wicket each, securing a big win for UP.
