Delhi vs Railways Ranji Match: Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli started practice with the Delhi team on Tuesday ahead of his return to the Ranji Trophy after a long gap of 12 years.

The 36-year-old Kohli, who has been struggling with poor form, will be seen playing in the Ranji Trophy match against Railways on January 30.

Virat Kohli’s Ranji Comeback After 12 Years

This match will witness his return to this major domestic tournament. Kohli last played a Ranji match in 2012 against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad. He was the rising star of Indian cricket then, and today he is one of the biggest legends of the game. The former India captain has 80 international centuries to his name so far.

Virat Kohli reached the Arun Jaitley Stadium at exactly 9 am. After meeting the team and warming up, he played football with his teammates for about 15 minutes. Kohli looked completely comfortable with his new teammates.

Most of the players of the Delhi team are sharing the dressing room with Kohli for the first time and looked very excited to get a chance to play with him. The practice session took place under the guidance of Delhi head coach Sarandeep Singh.

Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) secretary Ashok Sharma said, β€œThis is a great opportunity for young players to share the dressing room with a legend like Virat Kohli.

In our team, Navdeep Saini is the only one who has played with Virat for India and in the IPL. No other player has this experience. Young players can learn a lot by watching Kohli.

Delhi vs Railways Ranji Match Details and Live Broadcast

Earlier there was going to be no live broadcast of this match. But Jio Cinema, which holds the broadcast rights of BCCI’s domestic matches, has announced that the live telecast of this match between Delhi and Railways will be available.

Ranji Trophy matches are usually free for spectators. However, for this special match, DDCA has decided to open three stands on the Ambedkar Stadium side. Spectators can enter from gate numbers 7, 15, and 16. DDCA has also provided basic facilities like clean toilets and drinking water.
