Navdeep Saini to Play for West Delhi Lions in Delhi Premier League
Indian fast bowler Navdeep Saini will bowl for the West Delhi Lions in the upcoming Delhi Premier League (DPL). The league, organized by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), runs from August 17 to September 8, 2024, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The West Delhi Lions, one of six franchise teams, were unveiled on Friday with former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and the entire Apex Council of the DDCA present.

Rajan Chopra, owner of the West Delhi Lions, expressed his excitement about joining the Delhi Premier League. “We are thrilled to be part of the Delhi Premier League. The DPL provides a unique platform to showcase Delhi’s cricket talent. Our team is ready to perform at its best, and we are committed to supporting our players in every way,” Chopra said.
Virender Sehwag as Brand Ambassador
The DDCA has launched the Delhi Premier League (DPL) as a top T20 cricket competition, offering a great platform for emerging players. The inaugural season will feature 40 matches, including 33 in the men’s category and 7 in the women’s category. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is the brand ambassador for this first season of the Delhi Premier League.
