ENG vs IND 4th Test Day 2 Highlights: The second day of the fourth Test between England and India ended with England scoring 225 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Team India had posted 358 runs in their first innings. By the end of the day, England’s batters Ollie Pope (20*) and Joe Root (11*) were at the crease, and the home team still trailed by 133 runs. For India, Ravindra Jadeja and debutant Anshul Kamboj took one wicket each.


ENG vs IND 4th Test Day 2 Highlights: England Start Strong, But India Strike Late

India had started the day at 264/4 with Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur batting. Though India looked on course to reach 400, the English bowlers didn’t let that happen. India managed to add only 92 runs on Day 2 and were bowled out for 358. Sai Sudharsan was the top scorer with 61 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal made 58, and Rishabh Pant added 54. Other batters got starts but failed to make big scores. Ben Stokes led the bowling for England with 5 wickets, while Jofra Archer picked up 3 crucial wickets.

In response, England’s openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started well. The pair built a solid 50-plus partnership and kept India under pressure. Crawley played an aggressive knock, scoring 84 off 113 balls before being bowled by Jadeja. Ben Duckett also looked in great touch but fell short of his century, getting dismissed on 94 by Anshul Kamboj, who claimed his first Test wicket.


What’s Next on the 3rd day of ENG vs IND 4th Test?

With Pope and Root unbeaten at the end of Day 2, England are in a strong position but still behind by 133 runs. India will need quick wickets on Day 3 to regain control and avoid giving England a lead.

Day 3 will be crucial. If England bat long, they could take a lead. But if India’s bowlers strike early, they can put pressure back on the hosts. All eyes will be on how India responds with the ball.
