Alongside Stokes, David Malan contributed 96 runs off 95 balls, forming a partnership of 199 runs for the third wicket. Trent Boult took 5 wickets for New Zealand, while Ben Lister claimed 3 wickets, and Lockie Ferguson and Glenn Phillips took 1 wicket each.
