The England team will come on the tour of India on January 22. England announced their team for this tour. The England team will play a five-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series on their tour of India. This series will be a litmus test between India and England. England will play five T20Is against India from January 22 to February 2. Both teams will participate in three one-day internationals between February 6 and 12 before leaving for the Champions Trophy. England’s Test captain and star all-rounder Ben Stokes has been dropped from this team.
A hamstring injury suffered in the Test series against New Zealand earlier this month ruled him out of selection. The likes of Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Jamie Overton, Brayden Carrs and Saqib Mahmood have enabled England’s pace attack. Adil Rashid will be the spin bowling option and Jacob Bethel, and Joe Root will be the backup options.
