Exclusive: Renowned Cricketer Announces Retirement After Final Test Match

IND vs SA Test series – After the T20 and ODI series between India and South Africa, the Test series will start now. The first match starts on 26th December.

Former South African captain Dean Elgar, who has been included in South Africa’s Test squad for this series. Dean Elgar himself has announced his retirement.

Dean Elgar is 36 years old. Dean Elgar has been playing international matches for his team for almost 12 years. During this period he played more than 80 Tests and scored more than 5000 runs.

He has 13 centuries and 23 fifties in Tests to his name. His highest score is 199 runs, meaning he missed the double century by just one run. Also, he has only eight ODIs for the team to his name. 

In this he has scored 104 runs. He has an average of 17.33 and a strike rate of 58.75 in this format. He is considered only as a specialist Test cricketer. It will be interesting to see how Dean Elgar fares in the last two matches of his international career.
