A new controversy erupted during the Bangladesh Premier League. Foreign players of Darbar Rajshahi refused to play a recent match against the Rangpur Riders because they had not paid their dues.
Due to non-payment by Rajshahi Darbar, the players protested and no foreign player came on the field. As a result, all 11 Bangladeshi players fielded against the Riders. Doing this is a violation of the rules of BPL. Because according to the rules of the league, any team must have at least two foreign players.
Darbar Rajshahi failed to pay the players
Taskin Ahmed, the team’s captain, said, while giving information about the change in the team during the toss, “We have some changes. Four or five. Because there are no foreigners today. All the local players are playing today,”
If there is a change in the team, then the technical committee is informed about it first. Rajshahi Darbar has given this information.
Bangladesh Premier League informed that “Darbar Rajshahi team will field only Bangladeshi players in the team against Rangpur Riders in the absence of foreign players. For this, they have applied to get special approval.”
