Former Pakistan player Basit Ali criticised Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto after the defeat in the test match against India. Basit Ali said that Nazmul Hussain Shanto had mistakenly mistaken Indian players for Pakistani players. The Bangladeshi captain had to face a crushing defeat after making the mistake of playing the Indian team thinking it to be the Pakistani team. Nazmul Hussain Shanto had predicted before the series that he would beat the Indian team 2-0.

On Tuesday, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. With no result, the Indian team won the series 2-0.

On the first day, 35 overs were played and on two days not a single ball was bowled due to rain.

The Indian batting and bowling were on full display in the last two days of the match. India scored 285 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in just 34.4 overs. India achieved the target of 95 runs in 17.2 overs and won the match.

Basit said that if we look at the statistics, the Indian team dominates Bangladesh in every test match. This clearly shows the difference between the Indian and Pakistani teams.

Basit Ali further said, “Shanto had said that Bangladesh will beat India 2-0. Maybe he had a misconception that he was facing the Pakistan team. Bangladesh’s match against the Pakistan team lasted till the last day. India’s team wrapped up Bangladesh’s team in just two days. Which clearly reflects the difference between the Indian and Pakistan teams. There is a need to accept this truth.

Before the series against India, the Bangladesh captain was full of confidence. Bangladesh won the Test match against Pakistan by 2-0. He said that even though India is ahead in the Test rankings. But recently our performance has been excellent and we have been playing this game for the last five days. We want to get the result in the last session of the Test match. The match can go in any direction but we would like to ensure our first win in a Test match against India.
