The credit for India’s victory in this match largely goes to fast bowler Mohammad Siraj, who dismantled the Sri Lankan batting lineup by claiming six wickets for just 21 runs in his seven overs. Hardik Pandya took three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah secured one for the team. The Sri Lankan team, batting first, was restricted to a mere 50 runs in 15.2 overs. In response, Indian openers Ishan Kishan (23) and Shubman Gill (27) briskly secured 51 runs in just 6.1 overs, sealing a convincing win for their team.
