However, openers Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne forged a 192-run partnership to secure the win. Head played a brilliant innings, scoring 137 off 120 balls with 15 fours and 4 sixes, while Labuschagne remained unbeaten on 58 off 110 balls.
Australia sealed the victory by reaching 241 for 4 in 43 overs. Following India’s defeat, the Prime Minister faced trolling.
Gautam Gambhir, in a viral video, strongly criticized those who used the term ‘panauti’ for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while also commenting on the presence of Dr. Manmohan Singh.
He stated that the word used for Prime Minister Modi was inappropriate, emphasizing that it is wrong to speak against anyone, especially the Prime Minister.
Gambhir drew a parallel to the 2011 semi-final match, noting that if India had lost and Dr. Manmohan Singh had come to meet the players, there would have been nothing wrong.
