Gautam Gambhir, known for his controversies in cricket, often finds himself in the spotlight for various reasons. Whether it’s his clashes with players like Virat Kohli during the IPL or his outspoken statements, Gambhir remains
in the headlines. Recently, the former Indian cricketer clashed with Sreesanth during a Legends League cricket match. The altercation led to a heated argument between the two players.
Sreesanth alleged that Gambhir called him a ‘fixer’. However, when Gambhir faced the media for the first time after these allegations, he responded angrily and bluntly to questions about the matter.
Gautam Gambhir participated in the ‘Khelo India’ program where he was questioned about the altercation with Sreesanth. His demeanor visibly changed, and he replied firmly, “I am not here to discuss this issue. My focus is on supporting the young players who represent the pride of our nation. It’s crucial for them to have a platform where they can honestly showcase their talent, support their families, and make their state and nation proud.”
Meanwhile, Sreesanth received a legal notice from the Legends League Cricket commissioner due to his accusations against Gautam Gambhir. Sreesanth made these allegations against Gambhir in a video, which violated the league’s contract.
However, the umpire who intervened in the altercation between Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir did not mention anything in the official report about Gambhir calling Sreesanth a ‘fixer’. Gambhir, on the other hand, has not directly addressed this matter yet.
