In the 59th match of the 17th season of IPL, Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by 35 runs. Gujarat challenged Chennai Super Kings by 232 runs to win. But Chennai could reach only 196 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. With this victory, Gujarat overcame Chennai’s previous defeat. There was a match between both the teams on 26th March. Then Chennai had won over Gujarat by 63 runs. Now Gujarat has settled its score with this defeat. And the challenge has remained intact even in the playoffs. Earlier, Chennai won the toss and forced Gujarat to bat. Gujarat reached 231 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Gujarat’s opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan created a blast. Both of them made an opening partnership of 210 runs. Meanwhile, both scored centuries. But both were out after centuries. Shubman Gill scored 104 runs in 55 balls. Whereas Sai scored 103 runs in 51 balls. Shahrukh Khan was run out after scoring 2 runs. David Miller returned unbeaten after scoring 16 runs. Tushar Deshpande took 2 wickets.
