Hardik Pandya Banned for IPL 2025 Opening Match
Actually, Hardik Pandya has been banned for one match due to a slow over-rate in the last match of IPL 2024 while bowling for Mumbai Indians.
According to the press release issued by the IPL after the last season. This was his team’s third offence of the season under the IPL Code of Conduct by captain Hardik Pandya. After this Pandya was fined Rs 30 lakh and banned from playing in the team’s next match.
Mumbai Indians’ Retained Players for IPL 2025
Despite the setback, Mumbai Indians have retained some of their star players. The list includes:
- Jasprit Bumrah: Retained for ₹18 crore.
- Rohit Sharma: Retained for ₹16.30 crore.
- Suryakumar Yadav: Retained for ₹16.35 crore.
- Tilak Varma: Retained for ₹8 crore.
The team will also have a Right to Match (RTM) card to acquire an uncapped player. During the auction, they enter the IPL 2025 auction with a purse of ₹45 crore.
Mumbai Indians also had a disappointing performance in IPL 2024. Under the captaincy of Hardik, the Mumbai team could win only 4 matches last season and had to face defeat in 10 matches. The Mumbai team finished last in the points table with 8 points.
