Heated Argument Between Mohammad Nawaz and Tanjim Hasan in BPL Match

Nawaz and Tanjim Hasan Heated Argument: A big uproar was averted in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). There was an argument between two players in the match which seemed to be escalating. If the umpire and fellow players had not intervened, this dispute could have escalated.

This is the case of the match played between Sylhet Strikers and Khulna Tigers, in which Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz and Bangladesh’s Tanjim Hasan Sakib clashed with each other.

Heated Argument Between Nawaz and Tanjim Hasan

During the second innings of the match, the Khulna Tigers team was chasing a target of 183 runs. During this, Tanjim dismissed Nawaz in the 17th over. After this, a fight broke out between the two.

Tanjim bowled around the wicket. Tanjim bowled a slower ball to left-handed batsman Nawaz, which he could not understand and the ball hit his bat and went in the air and Zakir Hasan, standing at short third man, took an easy catch. Nawaz’s innings ended here. Nawaz scored 33 runs off 18 balls. Here the score of Khulna Tigers was 130 runs after losing six wickets.

Umpires and Players Intervene to Avoid Escalation

When Nawaz was going back after getting out, Tanjim said a few words to him and their shoulders collided. Nawaz also did not back off. He also said something to Tanjim. After which a heated argument broke out between the two.

Both came very close and started arguing and it seemed that a scuffle could come, but then the wicketkeeper came in between and started separating the two. Meanwhile, the umpire came and the rest of Tanjim’s teammates also came, who separated the two.

Sylhet Strikers Claim a Thrilling Victory

As far as the match is concerned, the Strikers won this match by eight runs. Ronnie Talukdar played an innings of 56 runs in 44 balls for Sylhet. Zakir scored an unbeaten 75 runs in 46 balls. Both of them shared a partnership of 106 runs in 62 balls and gave a strong score to the team. Based on their partnership, the Strikers scored 182 runs after losing five wickets.

The Khulna Tigers team could not achieve this score and were restricted to 174 runs after losing nine wickets. William Bosisto scored 43 runs in 40 balls for the team. Zakir was declared the Man of the Match.
