Ravichandran Ashwin is at number seven on the list of highest wicket-takers in Test cricket.

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has surprised the entire cricket world as well as cricket lovers by announcing his retirement. Ravichandran Ashwin has played 106 Test matches. He took this decision after the conclusion of the third Test at Gabba.

According to reports, he had considered retiring even before the series began. But Indian captain Rohit Sharma convinced him to play the Pink-Ball Test match. Ravichandran Ashwin has decided not to play the remaining matches of the series and will return home tomorrow.

Ravichandran Ashwin has achieved many achievements in his cricket career. He is the second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket for India. He has performed brilliantly by taking more than 500 wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin is the seventh-highest-wicket taker in Test cricket.

Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan is at the top of the list of Test cricket’s most successful players with 800 wickets. The second great Shane Warne is at the second spot with 708 wickets. England’s Jimmy Anderson, who has retired from cricket, is in the third spot. Apart from Ashwin, Anil Kumble is the other Indian to be included in this list along with Glenn McGrath and Stuart Broad.
