ICC ODI Team of the Year 2024 Announced
The team selected this time is dominated by cricketers from Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan, while not a single cricketer from big teams like Australia, India, or England has been able to make it.
The T20 World Cup was played in the year 2024, due to which not many ODI matches were played. Talking about India, Team India played only one ODI International series in 2024 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Team India played an ODI series against Sri Lanka, where they had to face defeat.
In the ICC’s 2024 ODI team, four players from Sri Lanka, three each from Pakistan and Afghanistan and one player from West Indies were selected in this list of 11. The command of the team has been given to Charit Aslanka. Earlier, India’s dominance was seen in the ICC ODI Team of the Year, but this time Team India played only three matches in the whole year.

ICC Awards and Team Announcements
Similarly, ICC will also select Test Team of the Year and T20 Team of the Year, in which Indian cricketers will have full hope of getting a place. Along with the ICC ODI Team of the Year, the announcement of the ICC Awards has also started.
ICC Team of the Year, ICC ODI, Test, T20 Team of the Year is to be announced on 24-25 January. The announcement of awards for individual categories will start on 25 January.
