Former Team India batsman Virender Sehwag, along with Diana Edulji and Aravinda de Silva, receives the prestigious honor of entering the ICC Hall of Fame.

Sehwag, recognized for his aggressive batting style, joins the elite group of Indian cricketers in this distinguished list, including Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, Sunil Gavaskar, Bishan Singh Bedi, Vinoo Mankad, and Kapil Dev.

Acknowledging the recognition, Sehwag expresses gratitude to the ICC, fans, friends, and teammates. Tendulkar, in his congratulations, specifically highlights Sehwag’s pioneering role as a Test opener and his fearless approach against bowlers.

Sehwag, known for his impactful contributions to India’s 2011 World Cup win, remains famous for aggressive batting and remarkable feats, including hitting a six on the first ball of a match and scoring a triple century against Pakistan at Multan.

His impressive cricket career boasts 8586 runs in 104 Test matches, with 23 centuries and 32 fifties, and 8273 runs in 251 ODIs, featuring 15 centuries and 38 fifties.
