New Zealand Wins Women’s T20 World Cup

The New Zealand cricket team won the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup. The Kiwi team lifted the title by defeating South Africa in the final match. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has got a chance to form the best team of players from seven teams by ICC. Champions New Zealand and runners-up South Africa had 3 players each in the Best XI. Apart from this, players from England, India, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Australia are in the best team.

Africa’s women’s team had to stay one step away from the World Cup just like their men’s team. On the strength of Amelia Kerr’s all-round performance, the New Zealand women’s team beat South Africa by 32 runs to win the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup for the first time. South Africa won the toss and elected New Zealand to bat. New Zealand scored 158 for 5 in 20 overs. New Zealand won by restricting South Africa to 126 for 9 in 20 overs.

Harmanpreet Kaur in ICC Best XI

ICC got a new champion in the form of New Zealand. In the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup, New Zealand defeated South Africa in the final match to win the World Cup. Young Kiwi player Amelia Kerr won the Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards.

She also got a place in the best team. Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur is the only player from the Indian team to be included in the Best Playing XI. Harman scored unbeaten half-centuries in matches against Sri Lanka and Australia.
