The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is a new privately owned franchise competition formed through a partnership between Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands. This unique collaboration brings together the best cricketing talent from these nations and around the world.
European T20 Premier League: A New Era for Cricket in Europe
This collaborative approach gives the tournament a true European feel and will showcase the best talent from the three nations playing alongside some of the best talent from around the world.
An ‘Interim Working Group’ has been formed to guide the development of the tournament. This group includes representatives from the participating cricket boards and strategic partners, representing the funding partners.
They are responsible for making key decisions and managing new administrative resources. The first edition of the tournament will take place from July 15 to August 3, 2025
A Collaborative Effort
“We are delighted to confirm the ICC’s approval of the ETPL and now that agreements have been reached between the joint venture partners.
This is an important day in the development of the event, as it effectively fires the pistol on work in three important areas. Like franchise ownership, broadcasting and the player draft, said interim working group chairman Warren Dutrom.

The ETPL will hold a formal launch event soon. Where they will reveal important information for franchises and fans. Including franchise ownership, names, brands, and details about the player draft. Which has become a popular feature in many franchise tournaments.
