In the Women’s Asia Cup, the Indian team suffered a 13-run defeat against Pakistan. Batting first, the Pakistan team scored 137 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Chasing the target, the Indian team was reduced to 124 runs in the field. The poor performance of Indian batsmen was seen, none of the batsmen were able to score big. Apart from Richa Ghosh, none of the batsmen could play freely from India’s side.




Apart from scoring 56 not out, Pakistan’s star player Nida Dar also took two wickets. She sent Jemima Rodrigues and captain Harmanpreet Kaur to the pavilion. Nida Dar scored an unbeaten 56 runs in his 37-ball innings with the help of five fours and a six. Apart from him, Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof contributed 32 runs. Both of them also played an important partnership of 76 runs in 58 balls.

Indian bowling

Among Indian bowlers, Deepti Sharma was the most successful taking three wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Pooja Vastrakar took two and Renuka Singh took one wicket. Indian fielding was also sluggish on several occasions with substitute Shefali Verma missing the easy stumping.

Indian batting

India has got the first blow in the form of Sabbineni Meghana. Meghna scored 15 runs in 14 balls and got out on the ball of Nashra Sandhu. He hit a six and a four in his innings.

The second blow to the Indian team came in the form of Jemima Rodrigues. Jemima scored just two runs off Nida Dar and was caught by Tuba Hussain.

The fourth blow to the Indian team was in the form of Pooja Vastrakar. Due to a misunderstanding with Dayalan Hemlata, Pooja was run out.

India has got its fifth blow in the form of Dayalan Hemlata. Hemlata was bowled by Tuba Hasan after scoring 20 runs in 22 balls.

The sixth blow to the Indian team was in the form of Deepti Sharma. Sharma made 16 runs in 11 balls with the help of three fours and was caught by Bismah Maroof off Sadia Iqbal.

India got its 7th blow in the form of captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Harman made 12 runs and was caught by Alia Riaz off Nida Dar.

India has got the eighth blow in the form of Radha Yadav. Radha Yadav was caught by Alia Riaz on the boundary off the ball of Nashra Sandhu.

Richa Ghosh was dismissed after scoring 26 runs. It was the ninth blow for India.
