India’s Dominant Victory Over Afghanistan in Super-8
Indian team made a winning debut in the Super-8 by defeating Afghanistan. After winning the toss and batting first, Team India scored a huge score. Suryakumar Yadav’s half-century saw India score 181 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs. Afghanistan’s batsmen sweat while chasing this challenge. They could only score 134 all out in the allotted 20 overs and lost the match by 47 runs. Ravindra Jadeja, who fielded wonderfully in this match, was honored with the ‘Fielder of the Match award’.

Afghanistan’s Struggle and India’s Bowling Brilliance
Batting first, India got a big blow early on in the form of captain Rohit Sharma (8). Then Virat Kohli (24) tried to save the innings with a decent knock. But, once again Rashid Khan did the best for Afghanistan. He lured Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Shivam Dubey into his net. Apart from this, Fazal Haque Farooqui sent Rohit and Jadeja to the tent. However, Suryakumar’s innings saved India. He scored an explosive knock of 53 runs off 28 balls with the help of 3 sixes and 5 fours. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh top-scored with 3 wickets each for India while Kuldeep Yadav (2) and Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja took 1 each.

Ravindra Jadeja Honored for Outstanding Fielding
The BCCI has shared a video in which Team India head coach Rahul Dravid is felicitating Jaddu with a medal. When Jaddu received this medal, he gave a single cheer. Picking up Rahul Dravid, Jadeja praised his guidance. In the match against Afghanistan, Jadeja took 1 wicket for 20 runs in his 3 overs. Apart from this, Jaddu managed to take three amazing catches.
