Both Shubman Gill and Shardul Thakur will not be part of the Indian team in the third and final ODI against Australia, which is scheduled to be held in Rajkot. The Indian team management has decided to rest these players due to workload management.
According to reports from the Indian Express, Shubman Gill and Shardul will travel to Guwahati with the team for the third match in Rajkot, where the Indian team will play its first warm-up match against England.
This century marked Shubman Gill’s fifth century this year. With one century against Australia in Indore and two centuries against New Zealand. Additionally, he has scored one century each against Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Australia. He has also demonstrated his T20 prowess by scoring a century. He currently leads the list of players with the most runs in the ODI tournament in 2023, accumulating 1230 runs in 20 innings at an average of 72, with a strike rate of 105.
