IND vs AUS Day 2 Highlights: India Dominates with Strong Lead
India had a lead of 46 runs in the first innings. With this lead, the Indian team played well in the second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, who failed in the first innings, got off to a good start. The duo put on a partnership of over 150 runs.
India scored 172 runs at the end of the second day without losing a single wicket. Therefore, India has 218 runs after taking a lead of 46 runs. KL Rahul is on 62 not out while Yashasvi Jaiswal is on 90 not out. So sports lovers will get a chance to see Yashasvi Jaiswal’s century on the third day.

IND vs AUS Day 2: Jaiswal and Rahul Build Solid Opening Stand
Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul scored unbeaten half-centuries to take the Australian bowlers off. Initially successful, Jayaswa held his ground. He also played cautiously. Yashashvi faced more than 100 balls to reach his half-century.
Notably, it was the first time since 2000 that 24 years that an opening pair faced more than 50 overs in Australia. Meanwhile, KL Rahul also scored a half-century in the second innings.
Both batsmen are the fourth opening pair to score half-centuries against Australia. Sunil Gavaskar-Chetan Chauhana in 1981, Sunil Gavaskar and Chris Srikkanth in 1985, Sunil Gavaskar and Chris Srikkanth in 1986. Now in 2024, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal have hit the century mark.
Jaiswal Breaks Sixes Record
Yashasvi Jaiswal has become the batsman with the most sixes in a calendar year. Earlier, Brendon McCullum hit 33 sixes in 2014. Now Yashasvi Jaiswal has equaled this record by hitting 33 sixes.
