KL Rahul tried to hold one end, but he could not succeed in his plans. Due to the dishonesty of the Kangaroos, KL Rahul was wrongly given out. KL Rahul played an innings of 26 runs in 74 balls. During this, he hit 3 fours. During his short innings, KL Rahul made a big record in his name.

Mitchell Starc bowled the 23rd over of India’s innings. He bowled the second ball of the over. Rahul tried to defend it. The ball passed his bat and reached the hands of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. The Kangaroo team started appealing, but the umpire rejected it.
Captain Pat Cummins took a review. The review clearly showed that there was a gap between the bat and the ball, but still, there was movement in the snicko meter.
It was visible in the review that the bat had hit the pad. This was the sound in the snicko meter. Even after this, the third umpire declared KL Rahul out. Everyone was surprised by this decision of the umpire.

- He became the 26th Indian batsman to achieve this feat.
- Rahul accomplished this milestone in the 92nd innings of his 54th Test.
- His Test career so far includes 3007 runs at an average of 33.78, with 15 half-centuries and 8 centuries.
Despite his milestone, Rahul couldn’t carry on for a big score, falling victim to a debatable umpiring decision.
